U.S. Seizes Tankers Loaded With Iranian Fuel Bound For Venezuela


(Worthy News) – The United States has seized four tankers en route from Iran to Venezuela in what the Justice Department says is the government’s largest-ever seizure of fuel shipments from Iran.

The Justice Department said on August 14 that U.S. law enforcement seized the cargo on the tankers — approximately 1.116 million barrels of petroleum — saying it was tied to the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC).

The department described the seizure as “the successful disruption of a multimillion dollar fuel shipment” by the IRGC that was bound for Venezuela. [ Source: Radio Free Europe (Read More…) ]
