(Worthy News) – As the Republicans and Democrats gear up for November’s presidential election, thousands of Americans are opting out of the partisan mud-sling and are putting up “Jesus 2020” signs in their yards, Fox News reports.

The Jesus 2020 campaign was launched in May by two members of the small Sampey Memorial Baptist Church in Ramer, Alabama. Joyce Hubbard and Martha Sikes wanted to do something to spark revival amid COVID-19 despair.

“People need Jesus with everything that’s going on,” Jesus 2020 organizer Joyce Hubbard, told Fox News. “He’s the only one that we can count on. He’s the one that keeps his promises. He’s already the winner.”

“If everyone would just focus on Jesus right now, everything would just fall into place and we wouldn’t have the problems we have. He’s the only way,” Ms Hubbard added.

Jesus 2020 signs can be ordered online through the JESUS 2020 Facebook page or WELLS.PROMO/JESUS2020. Over 5,000 signs have been shipped to states across America, including California, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Texas.

“We don’t have to be some megachurch. All it takes is a spark and we want to set fires everywhere,” Hubbard said. “We want Jesus’s name out there.” Indeed, the campaign’s Wells page has the exhortation: “Help us put Jesus everywhere, in hopes that people will elect Him as their leader!”
