(Worthy News) – China on Friday “congratulated” Joe Biden with his claimed victory in the November 3 presidential elections, despite ongoing White House investigations into reported voter fraud.

“We respect the choice of the American people,” said the foreign ministry of the Communist-run nation. His remarks came while in China, people have no choice to have a new president. President Xi Jinping received backing from the ruling Communist party to eliminate the two-term limit, paving the way to keep the presidency indefinitely.

“We express our congratulations to Mr. Biden and Ms. Harris,” foreign ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin added, referring to presumed vice president Kamala Harris. Critics say Biden had a cozy relationship with China during his tenure as a senator. President Trump suggested that China showered $1.5 billion on Hunter Biden to influence his father and win favorable trade deals with the United States.

E-mails published by The New York Post newspaper suggested Hunter Biden had lucrative deals involving China’s largest private energy company CFEC. The firm that was to pay him 10 million annually “for introductions alone,” documents suggested. Hunter Biden also flew aboard Air Force Two to China in December 2013, with his then vice-President father. Ten days later, Hunter’s company inked a deal with state-owned Bank of China and created the $1 billion investment fund called Bohai Harvest RST (BHR), according to published records.

WRONGDOING DENIED

Joe Biden has vehemently denied wrongdoing and fiercely defended what he views as the integrity of his son. However, his denials do not impress President Trump, who warned of Chinese interference in a Biden presidency.

Trump had a tense relationship with China over trade and the recent coronavirus in his words, “China Virus.” “China should start an investigation into the Bidens because what happened in China is just about as bad as what happened with Ukraine,” Trump told reporters recently.

However, China congratulating Biden on his apparent election victory added pressure on Trump, who refused to accept election results citing irregularities. Several US media outlets projected Biden to win the battleground state of Arizona on Thursday evening. Fox News and the Associated Press already claimed Biden would win the state last week.

Trump’s refusal to coordinate with Biden’s team means his staff cannot access information or intelligence briefings to smooth a transition. The federal agency in charge of allocating funds for the change of power is also yet to recognize Biden as the winner.
