“Heaven and Earth:” Two films present evidence for major Scriptural events

(Worthy News) – There is now available for purchase a two-film DVD Set which seeks to present factual evidence that the Star of Bethlehem which led the wise men to Jesus’ manger, and the Earthquake which followed His death on the Cross, were historical ‘bookend’ events in Jesus’ life. Titled Heaven and Earth, the DVD package contains the films The Star of Bethlehem and the Christ Quake, both of which were directed by Stephen Vidano.  

In describing the films, the Heaven and Earth website explains they are high-quality productions supported by reproducible tests and the result of exhaustive research. Moreover, the films are described as “visually spectacular.” 

The Star of Bethlehem film presents “biblical and historical clues revealing the incredible significance of this celestial event as well as the vastness of God’s creativity.” The film “explores the exciting truth of Scripture and reveals the evidence for God’s existence as seen in the stars above,” the Heaven and Earth website affirms.

In regard to the Christ Quake film, the producers reflect on the website: “The Bible records unexpected, unlikely physical events as bookends of the earthly life of Jesus — a mysterious star, an overwhelming earthquake.” The producers explain that the Dead Sea, which is the lowest point on the earth, offers a “database” for exploring the Quake which immediately followed Christ’s death on the Cross.

Describing them as “life-changing,” the films presenter Rick Larson says on the website: “I’ve been encouraged by the huge response and level of interest in this project. Production has been affected by numerous challenges, but we are blessed by the response we’ve received. My hope is that you are blessed by these films.”
