(Worthy News) – Donald J. Trump has condemned Facebook after the “Oversight Board” of the social media giant upheld a ban against the former U.S. president.

“What [tech giants] Facebook, Twitter, and Google have done a total disgrace and an embarrassment to our Country, ” he wrote in a statement.

“Free Speech has been taken away from the President of the United States,” Trump added on his new website.

“Because the Radical Left Lunatics are afraid of the truth, but the truth will come out anyway, bigger and stronger than ever before. The People of our Country will not stand for it!” he wrote in comments monitored by Worthy News.

“These corrupt social media companies must pay a political price and must never again be allowed to destroy and decimate our Electoral Process,” Trump stressed.

He lashed out after the board ruled that Facebook had been right to ban Trump following his posts on the platform expressing support for the rioters who stormed the U.S. Capitol in January.

FACEBOOK INDEFINITE

But they also found that Facebook should not have made the ban indefinite and told Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg that his company needs a time frame for the suspension.

“In applying a vague, standardless penalty and then referring this case to the Board to resolve, Facebook seeks to avoid its responsibilities,” noted the board, which is made up of 20 experts.

“The Board declines Facebook’s request and insists that Facebook apply and justify a defined penalty.”

Following the board decision, Facebook told the media that Trump would remain locked out of his account.

“We will now consider the board’s decision and determine an action that is clear and proportionate,” stressed Nick Clegg, Facebook’s vice president of global affairs and communication.
