Bennett: If infection rate keeps rising, we will consider reinstating ‘Green Pass’

naftali bennett worthy ministries(Worthy News) – At the weekly cabinet meeting Sunday, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said that due to the recent spike in coronavirus infections, the government was considering reinstating some aspects of the so-called Green Pass system that differentiates between vaccinated and unvaccinated Israelis in terms of access to certain venues and activities.

“Without cooperation [from the public], and in case the morbidity rate continues to climb, we will consider reinstating certain aspects of the Green Pass,” Bennett said.

The cause behind the latest rise in morbidity, experts say, can be attributed to the arrival of the delta strain to Israel. Of the 38,938 Israelis screened for the virus in the last 24 hours, 185 people (0.5%) tested positive. There are currently 2,455 active cases in the country. [ Source: Israel Hayom (Read More…) ]
