(Worthy News) – Tens of thousands of people marched in Amsterdam during the “largest demonstration” against restrictive coronavirus measures in the Netherlands so far.

Armed with slogans and umbrellas to protect against the autumn sun, demonstrators marched through the Dutch capital’s city center around the Dam Square.

The rally “Together for the Netherlands” came amid concerns that vaccinations will become effectively obligatory to participate in normal life.

Additionally, demonstrators are angry that festivals and nightclubs cannot reopen, while Sunday’s Dutch Grand Prix could go ahead attended by tens of thousands of people.

There is also concern that the Netherlands will again see lockdowns and night curfews as part of what critics view as the most restrictive measures since World War Two.

About sixty organizations participated and supported the protest, according to organizers.

This is “the largest demonstration since the introduction of the Covid-19 measures,” they said.

Perceived ethnic profiling in “child-benefit allowances, and the housing shortages” were other themes during the rallies for more freedom in the Netherlands.
