Millions Of US Workers Forced To Take COVID-Jabs; Republicans Sue Biden

(Worthy News) – Millions of American workers could begin rolling up their sleeves Friday after U.S. President Joe Biden ordered mandatory COVID-19 jabs for employees at large companies and federal government servants.

Those who refuse face punitive measures, including weekly tests for the coronavirus, prompting an angry response from the Republican Party

The Republican National Committee said it plans to sue the federal government over President Biden’s vaccine mandate, covering about 100 million workers.

“Joe Biden told Americans when he was elected that he would not impose vaccine mandates. He lied,” RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said in a statement.

President Biden defended his decision to impose vaccines on millions of federal government servants and others, citing an increase in coronavirus cases.

“This is not about freedom or personal choice; it’s about protecting yourself and those around you,” Biden stressed while unveiling his plan.

Authorities say more than 650,000 Americans have died with COVID-19 since last year on a population of 335 million. Most of the victims were older people with underlying health conditions.

Some 80 million people in the U.S. remain unvaccinated, with opponents expressing concerns about reported side effects and even several deaths.

However, supporters of coronavirus jabs say they outweigh the risks and are necessary to halt, or at least limit, more severe COVID-19 cases.

Authorities claim hospitals in U.S. states have reached capacity amid the spread of the more transmissible Delta variant.
