Prominent Columbia Pastor Kidnapped

Baltimore, MD (Worthy News) – On February 14, unidentified armed men kidnapped Pastor Jorge Enrique Gomez outside of Bogota, Columbia. Pastor Jorge Gomez is well known in Columbia. He is the pastor of the largest evangelical church in the country, with more than 20,000 members with a chain of eight radio stations located in different cities.
This is not the first time a pastor has been kidnapped in Columbia. In the past year and a half, because of the rising threats and pressure there has been more than 300 Christian churches, colleges and radio stations closed in Columbia.
Pastor Gomez’s church has called for permanent prayer and fasting for the soon release of their pastor.
