(Worthy News) – French voters on Sunday handed Emmanuel Macron a second term in the country’s presidential election after his far-right rival Marine Le Pen failed to achieve a populist upset.
Macron won around 58.5% of the vote versus Le Pen on 41.5%, according to preliminary official results.
In doing so, he becomes the first French leader to win reelection in two decades since Jacques Chirac in 2002. [ Source: Deutche Welle (Read More…) ]
