Sweden Says it Can’t Meet All of Turkey’s Demands; NATO Entry Now Up to Ankara

(Worthy News) – NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg has called on Turkey to lift its block against Sweden’s accession to the transatlantic alliance, after Stockholm acknowledged it cannot meet Ankara’s demands.
“I have said that time has come to bring to an end the ratification process for Sweden,” Stoltenberg told Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet on Monday.
A day earlier, Stoltenberg said in an interview with Sweden’s SVT Nyheter broadcaster: “I believe that the application should now be approved, and I have expressed this in Istanbul in talks with the president and the leadership there.” [ Source: CNS News (Read More…) ]
