Biden convening G-7 leaders days after traveling to Ukraine

g 7 economic nations g7(Worthy News) – White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said Thursday that President Joe Biden will convene a virtual meeting of leaders of the world’s top economies on Friday morning, just days after returning to Washington from a trip to Europe commemorating the one-year anniversary of the war in Ukraine.

Prior to delivering a speech in Warsaw, Poland, on Tuesday, Biden secretly traveled to Kyiv, Ukraine, to visit President Volodymyr Zelensky and members of the Ukrainian defense forces.

“Tomorrow morning, President Biden will gather with G-7 leaders and President Zelensky for a virtual meeting to continue coordinating our efforts to support Ukraine and hold Russia accountable for its war,” Jean-Pierre told reporters at the top of Thursday’s White House press briefing. “One year ago, this group came together, just mere hours after Russian tanks rolled into Ukraine, to impose unprecedented costs on Putin and his cronies.” [ Source: Washington Examiner (Read More…) ]
