(Worthy News) – Amid the global plagues of sex trafficking and child pornography, the US-based Christian organization All Things Possible Ministries has helped to free 40,000 trafficked women and children around the world, CBN News reports.

Founded and run by Victor Marx together with his wife of 34 years, Eileen, All Things Possible Ministries has worked with law enforcement to track down predators and to rescue and rehabilitate trafficked victims, CBN reports. Last year alone, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received over 19,000 reports of possible child sex trafficking.

Marx is himself a survivor of extreme child physical and sexual abuse who went on to an honorable career in the US military before starting the ministry. In an interview with CBN, Marx said: “We can’t incarcerate our way out of this. There’s far too many people consuming child porn. And we’re talking about it’s not the old crazy man. Now. It’s kids in their twenties and teens. So what we have to do is a multiple-faceted approach.“We’re talking the best in the world regarding the latest technologies, all the way up to the most seasoned counter-traffickers and people who’ve worked pedophile cases in our country.”

In addition to supporting shelters for trafficked victims, the ministry has a Christianity-based training center which runs courses to help women and children overcome fears and learn skills including jujitsu, blade work, shooting, teamwork, and developing plans.

“We believe that Jesus is the healer of trauma. We demonstrate His love by showing compassion, meeting needs and providing resources for those that are broken and suffering,” the ministry explains in a website statement. “We are convinced that all of our efforts are turning on the light of Jesus in some of the darkest places on earth.”
