(Worthy News) – The wife of a Redeemed Christian Church of God pastor serving in Nigeria’s Taraba state was shot dead by terrorists as she drove home from her native Ondo state on Nov. 17, Morning Star News (MSN) reports.

Married to Pastor Konye Timilehin Moses, Oluwakemi Moses was driving along the Wukari-Jootar highway when terrorists shot at her car, MSN reports. The Moses’ two-month-old baby was in the car at the time of the murder.

During his wife’s funeral in Akure, Ondo state, on Saturday, Pastor Moses said: “Goodbye, righteous soul, till the resurrection morning. I love you, Oluwakemi. Keep resting, my dear love; you’re indeed in the bosom of our Savior. Til we meet again.”

In a statement to MSN, Taraba resident Emmanuel Yakubu said there have been relentless terror attacks along the Wukari-Jootar federal highway at the intersection of Taraba and Benue states have been relentless, “Despite the heavy presence of military and police checkpoints along this route, incidents like these persist unchallenged,” Yakubu told MSN.

“Numerous citizens have faced similar ordeals,” Yakubu said. “These occurrences demand immediate action from the appropriate authorities.”

Murdering tens of thousands of people and kidnapping and sexually assaulting tens of thousands more, Islamic jihadists have terrorized civilians, especially Christians, across swathes of Nigeria since 2015.
