(Worthy News) – The Unite US evangelistic outreach to American college students has reported that the University of Florida saw more than 1,000 students answer the call to follow Jesus during a campus event last week.

Unite US has held a number of college campus Gospel events, including at the University of Arkansas, Mississippi State University, the University of Mississippi, and the University of South Carolina. Each event has been marked by many baptisms and a strong response to calls for students to put their faith in Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

In a Facebook post about the October 23 event at Florida University, Unite US wrote: “We are IN AWE that over 1,000 students came forward to make the decision to follow Jesus tonight. The O’Dome [at Florida University] was filled with more than 6,000 students who went all-in, lifting up the name of Jesus and experiencing the freedom that can only be found in Him.”

“We are praying for every single student who came forward and made the decision to follow Jesus tonight, and we’re celebrating with every student who chose to make their faith public through water baptism!” Unite said.

“God has HUGE plans for this generation!” Unite US added.
