(Worthy News) – The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced Tuesday that its campaign against Iran’s nuclear program and ballistic missile capabilities is on track to achieve its objectives within a week or two. The military’s estimate came as Israeli fighter jets and drones carried out a fresh wave of airstrikes, targeting Iranian ballistic missile launchers, air defense systems, and radar sites across western and central Iran.

Speaking to reporters, IDF Spokesman Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin said that 60 Israeli Air Force jets participated in the latest “extensive wave of strikes in the heart of Iran,” including areas near Isfahan where Iran has repositioned its missile forces following earlier strikes. “They withdrew from western Iran, but we are coming after them,” Defrin said.

Since the start of the operation early Friday, Israel has destroyed or neutralized around 40 percent of Iran’s estimated 500 ballistic missile launchers. The IDF said this has significantly degraded Iran’s ability to launch large salvos at Israel, resulting in smaller-scale missile attacks over the past two days. The military believes the reduction in missile fire reflects Iran’s operational difficulties rather than an effort to conserve munitions.

Maj. Gen. Oded Basiuk, head of the IDF Operations Directorate, emphasized that the mission will continue until the Iranian nuclear and missile threats are eliminated. “We are striking the terror regime, not the people,” Basiuk said. “We will not allow a nuclear Iran to turn the Middle East into a graveyard.”

On Tuesday evening, loud blasts echoed across Tehran, as Israeli jets targeted sites including a missile manufacturing facility near Hojir and the Imam Hossein University, linked to the Revolutionary Guards. The IDF issued evacuation notices to Tehran residents before launching the strikes. No immediate casualties were reported from these latest attacks.

IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir, visiting the site of an Iranian missile strike in Bat Yam that killed nine civilians, praised the resilience of Israel’s home front. “Civilian resilience is critical for us. It’s a central component of our ability to continue functioning,” he said. Zamir noted that Israeli forces are engaged in unprecedented operations 1,500 kilometers from home, actively hunting ballistic missiles and destroying threats before they can reach Israeli cities.

As the operation unfolds, the IDF said it will provide a full assessment of the damage inflicted on Iran’s nuclear program once its objectives are met. The military insists that its sweeping assault is necessary to prevent Iran from advancing any further toward nuclear weapons capability, pointing to Iran’s high-level uranium enrichment, obstruction of international inspections, and expanding missile arsenal as clear evidence of its intentions.
