Kennedy Unveils Massive Wearables Push as Cornerstone of ‘MAHA’ Health Agenda

WASHINGTON, D.C. (Worthy News) – Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced Tuesday the launch of the largest public health advertising campaign in the department’s history, aimed at urging every American to use wearable health-tracking devices as part of the administration’s “Make America Healthy Again” (MAHA) initiative.

Kennedy unveiled the sweeping plan during a House Committee on Energy and Commerce hearing, describing wearable devices like FitBits, Apple Watches, and Oura Rings as essential tools to combat the nation’s escalating obesity crisis, which now affects over 40% of Americans.

“We’re about to launch the biggest advertising campaign in HHS history to encourage Americans to use wearables,” Kennedy said. “It’s a way people can take control over their own health… They can see, as you know, what food is doing to their glucose levels, their heart rates, and a number of other metrics, as they eat it.”

Kennedy emphasized the goal of seeing “every American wearing a wearable in four years,” arguing that real-time biometric feedback will help people make better decisions about their diets, sleep habits, and physical activity.

A longtime critic of industrial food additives, Kennedy made headlines earlier this year for banning artificial dyes from food products in the U.S. Last week, he revealed that coffee giant Starbucks had voluntarily agreed to make MAHA-aligned changes to its offerings, although the chain already avoids ingredients like artificial flavors and high fructose corn syrup.

The campaign dovetails with the priorities of President Donald Trump’s pick for Surgeon General, Dr. Casey Means, a metabolic health expert and co-founder of the Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) company Levels. Means has argued that metabolic dysfunction is the root cause of the nation’s chronic disease burden.

In a company blog post, Means wrote that CGMs — small adhesive devices that monitor blood sugar in real time — could be transformative for “the 93.2 percent of people” in the U.S. who have some form of metabolic dysfunction.

The MAHA initiative, which Kennedy has championed since taking office, frames public health not only as a personal responsibility but as a national security issue. During his Senate confirmation hearing, Kennedy warned that America’s high obesity rate threatens military readiness.

While the health initiatives have been praised by many, some prophecy teachers are sounding the alarm over the broader implications of normalizing constant biometric tracking. They note that as the population becomes increasingly accustomed to being monitored and scanned, it could serve as a form of societal conditioning for the future fulfillment of Revelation 13 — where no one can buy or sell unless they have the mark of the beast. “This is by no means the mark,” one prophecy analyst said, “but the conditioning is beginning.”

As the campaign ramps up, critics are also raising privacy concerns about the government’s promotion of data-collecting devices. But Kennedy remained undeterred, asserting Tuesday that “freedom begins with the power to take care of our own health.”
