U.S. Strike Destroys Key Iranian Bridge as Trump Urges Deal, Iran Threatens Retaliation

(Worthy News) – A major bridge near Tehran collapsed following reported U.S. airstrikes, escalating tensions between Washington and Tehran as Donald Trump warned Iran to negotiate before further destruction unfolds.
The targeted structure, identified as the B1 highway bridge linking Tehran to Karaj, was considered one of the largest in the Middle East and a critical transportation and supply route. U.S. officials said the strike aimed to disrupt Iranian missile and drone logistics supporting attacks on U.S. and Israeli forces.
Trump shared dramatic footage of the collapse, declaring, “The biggest bridge in Iran comes tumbling down … Much more to follow,” while urging Iran to “make a deal before it is too late.”
Iranian state media reported the bridge was struck twice within an hour, resulting in at least two civilian deaths and multiple injuries. Additional strikes were reported in the Karaj region, along with damage to other sites, including a medical research facility in Tehran.
Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi condemned the attack as a strike on civilian infrastructure, warning it would not weaken Iran’s resolve but instead deepen hostility.
In response, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) reportedly launched missile attacks targeting U.S. and Israeli military positions and threatened broader retaliation. Iranian officials also identified infrastructure in U.S.-allied nations across the Middle East as potential future targets.
The escalation comes amid an expanding military campaign, with Trump signaling additional strikes in the coming weeks. As both sides intensify operations, fears are growing that the conflict could widen further across the region, drawing in additional nations and strategic assets.
