Israel Continues Strikes on Iran as Passover Begins, IDF Reports Major Gains

(Worthy News) – As Israel entered the sacred season of Passover, the Israel Defense Forces announced a sweeping continued campaign against Iran, citing significant progress in weakening the regime’s military infrastructure.
Over the past 48 hours, the Israeli Air Force carried out a massive wave of strikes, dropping approximately 650 munitions on around 400 targets tied to the Iranian regime, including key sites in the heart of Tehran. Among the targets were roughly 15 weapons manufacturing facilities, including a central complex affiliated with Iran’s Ministry of Defense that was involved in missile development intended for attacks on aircraft.
The IDF said it also struck air defense systems, ballistic missile launch sites, and storage facilities, further degrading Iran’s offensive capabilities.
In a significant blow to Iran’s command structure, Israeli forces targeted facilities belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, including its central headquarters in Tehran. The site reportedly played a key role in managing budgets that funded Iran’s military expansion and supported terror proxies across the Middle East.
According to the IDF, these financial networks have long funneled resources to groups such as Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthis, enabling attacks against Israel and regional allies.
The ongoing campaign, known as “Operation Roaring Lion,” has seen hundreds of Israeli aircraft operate deep within Iranian airspace since late February, supported by roughly 2,000 aerial refueling missions. In recent days, Israeli intelligence identified attempts by Iran to shift command operations into mobile units—one of which was successfully targeted.
Additional strikes hit a ballistic missile storage facility near Tabriz, while earlier operations eliminated Jamshid Eshaqi, a senior official overseeing Iran’s oil-funded military financing network. The IDF said his role was central to sustaining Iran’s weapons production and regional proxy operations.
U.S. Central Command commander Adm. Brad Cooper affirmed the campaign’s effectiveness, stating that after weeks of sustained operations, Iran’s naval, air, and missile defense capabilities have been largely neutralized.
“We don’t see their navy sailing. We don’t see their aircraft flying, and their air and missile defense systems have largely been destroyed,” Cooper said.
As Israel marks Passover—a time remembering deliverance from oppression—the developments underscore a dramatic shift in the regional balance of power, with Israeli and allied forces pressing deeper into dismantling Iran’s military and terror infrastructure.
