Putin Has a New Toy as Russia Christens Fourth-Generation Top-Secret Submarine


MOSCOW, RUSSIA (Worthy News)– As tensions continue to intensify between Russia and the West over Ukraine, Russia christened a fourth-generation top-secret nuclear submarine named Severodvinsk, on Tuesday.

“The Navy’s incorporation of the new nuclear submarine Severodvinsk is a significant step toward strengthening the undersea component of the Navy potential,” said Russian Commander Admiral Viktor Chirkov at the submarine acceptance ceremony.

“The Severodvinsk submarine has brand-new architecture and armaments; this is the lead submarine of the fourth-generation project. The submarine is equipped with the newest communication and navigation systems and a completely new nuclear power unit and carries powerful armaments, among them supersonic cruise missiles,” Interfax-AVN reported.
