Riots Break out on Temple Mount

JERUSALEM, ISRAEL (Worthy News)– On Friday, Palestinian youth clashed with Israeli Police on the Temple Mount on the first Friday prayers of the month-long fast of Ramadan.

Israel limited access to the Temple Mount on Friday to women and men aged 50 or older with Israeli citizenship; however that failed to prevent riots from breaking out.

Riots have continued into the third day since Muhammad Abu Khdier, 16, was found dead in the Jerusalem Forest on Wednesday morning. The police are continuing its investigation, however it appears the teenager was killed as an act of ‘revenge’ for the three murdered Israeli teenagers whose bodies were discovered in the West Bank on Monday.

In multiple media reports, thousands of additional security have been called to maintain order in the city ahead of the funeral of Khdier that takes place today.

people are currently praying.
