Medical Missionaries Survive Ebola, Discharged from Hospital

ATLANTA (Worthy News)– Two American Ebola victims have been recently discharged from Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, according to news.com.au.

“Today is a miraculous day,” said Dr. Kent Brantly. “I am thrilled to be alive, to be well and to be reunited with my family. As a medical missionary, I never imagined myself in this position. God saved my life, the direct answer to thousands & thousands of prayers.”

The other victim, Nurse Nancy Writebol, asked that Brantly convey her gratitude to Emory’s medical staff and all who had prayed for her. Both she and Brantly had been given multiple doses of the experimental drug ZMapp.

Brantly and Writebol were flown out of Liberia earlier this month to get treatment in an isolation unit of the hospital. The two were infected with Ebola while working at a missionary clinic outside Liberia’s capital.
