Four Nigerian Schoolgirls Escape Boko Haram

CHIBOK (Worthy News)– Four schoolgirls seized by Boko Haram six months ago have escaped from a camp in Cameroon run by the Islamist group, according to Barnabas Aid.

The four — aged between 16 and 18 years — were from a group of about 270 young women kidnapped from their boarding school in the predominantly Christian town of Chibok in Borno State, Nigeria back in April.

Helped by a fellow prisoner, the escapees were guided west for weeks by the setting until they arrived at a Nigerian village.

To date, the schoolgirls are the only captives to have escaped a Boko Haram camp.
