Protestors torch Iranian consulate in Iraq

(Worthy News) – Iraqi protestors burned down the Iranian consulate in Najaf, southern Iraq.
Iranian staff escaped through the back door on Wednesday, according to police, but the incident is the second time Iranian assets have been targeted in the Shi’ite majority nation since early October, where 350 people have been killed during demonstrations against foreign meddling.
On November 4 protestors scaled the wall of the Iranian consulate in Kerbala, brining down the Iranian flag and raising an Iraqi flag in its place.
Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei called protests against fuel hikes in his own country a “conspiracy” by the US Wednesday.
