Netanyahu reportedly offers Gantz majority of shared premiership

(Worthy News) – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reportedly offered rival Benny Gantz the lion’s share of a rotating premiership.
According to Israel Hayom, Netanyahu’s Likud party offered Gantz’s Blue and White 18 months with their man as Prime Minister, on the condition that Netanyahu be allowed to stay in office for 6 more months to oversee the annexation of the Jordan Valley.
Netanyahu promised in September to annex the eastern portion of the West Bank, 90% of which is already under Israeli security control, but which has a majority Palestinian population, calling Trump’s support for the idea an “historic opportunity” to establish the slice of land as the eastern border of Israel Monday.
Netanyahu also relayed that in recent phone calls he and Trump have been discussing a mutual security pact between the US and Israel as dovetail to the annexation plan.
