UK Exit Polls Point to Conclusive Win for Conservatives, Worst Labour Showing in Decades
(Worthy News) – The Conservative Party looks in line for a decisive win in Thursday’s British general election – the third in less than five years – with exit polls suggesting it would take 368 seats in the 650-seat House of Commons, 42 more than the minimum needed for a majority government.
The Ipsos MORI exit poll gave Labour Party 191 seats. If that holds out, Jeremy Corbyn’s party will have 71 fewer members of parliament than the number it had after the last election. By some accounts, it will be Labour’s worst performance since the 1930s.
