IDF Chief indicates upcoming “limited confrontation” between Israel and Iran

(Worthy News) – Israel may carry out a “limited” war with Iran according to the Chief of the Israel Defense Forces, who spoke openly for the first time about Iranian entrenchment in Iraq as a problem for the Jewish state.

Chief of Staff Aviv Kochavi asked Israelis to brace themselves to face enemies from Gaza, the north, or elsewhere, saying the next war would require “national resilience.”

“The intensity of enemy firepower will be great,” he said. “There can be no war without casualties and I cannot guarantee a short war…I’m looking at everyone in the eye, it will be intense.”

Kochavi added that Iraq was “undergoing a civil war,” giving the Iranian Quds Force free reign to smuggle weapons to be used in attacks against Israel, which he said the IDF “can’t allow.”
