(Worthy News) – A Nigerian civil society grouped has traced the genocidal activities of Muslim groups in that country and found that earlier estimates of the numbers of Christians killed over the last few years were far too modest.

Whereas the UK-based Humanitarian Aid Relief Trust estimated recently that 6,000 Christians have been killed in Nigeria since 2015 through the combined efforts of Boko Haram and Muslim Fulani herders, the Nigerian International Society for Civil Liberties and Rule of Law is now saying that 11,500 Christians have been killed in the last five years.

“Nigeria has fully become a killing field of defenseless Christians,” said the group in its new report entitled “Nigeria: A Killing Field of Defenseless Christians.”

From the total death toll the report lists, “Jihadist Fulani Herdsmen accounted for 7,400 Christian deaths, Boko Haram 4,000 and the ‘Highway Bandits’ 150-200.”

In the first few months of 2020 alone, the group found that around 350 Christians had been killed in the country ranked 12th for persecution of Christians on Open Doors USA’s World Watch List.
