(Worthy News) – Recent attacks by Muslim Fulani herdsmen against Nigerian Christians have left many people displaced and women and children without adequate food and shelter, according to a Nigerian Christian leader.

Morning Star News reports that Luka Binniyat of the Southern Kaduna People’s Union (SOKAPU) released a statement in the wake of raids by the Fulani last month that killed 60 Christians calling on “all well-meaning individuals, groups and corporate entities to come to the aid of these displaced persons.”

“We have a chronicle of the humongous losses suffered by these law-abiding Christians in the hands of herdsmen trying to forcefully eject them and occupy their lands while the government watches on,” he said.

Nigeria is the second most lethal place to be a Christian in the world, according to Open Doors USA’s World Watch List, with the Humanitarian Aid Relief Trust (HART) estimating that 6,000 Christians have been killed by Islamic radicals since 2015.
