Supreme Court rules against Nevada church suing over restrictions during pandemic

(Worthy News) – The Supreme Court ruled against a Nevada church that was seeking to overturn the state’s mandatory cap on attendance because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The high court ruled 5-4 against the Calvary Chapel Dayton Valley in Dayton, Nevada, on Friday, with Chief Justice John Roberts joining the four liberal justices.
The church sued Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak, arguing that the 50-person limit on places of worship, which is different from the half-capacity max rule for businesses such as casinos and restaurants, was a violation of their First Amendment rights. [ Source: Washington Examiner (Read More…) ]
