(Worthy News) – The U.S. Supreme Court has rejected a last-ditch effort to overturn the official results of the 2020 presidential election despite reported voter fraud.

The top court said Friday it would not hear a case filed by Texas and backed by President Donald J. Trump seeking to throw out voting results in four states.

It concluded in a brief statement that the plaintiff Texas does not have the standing to sue over how Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin run their ballots. “Texas has not demonstrated a judicially cognizable interest in the manner in which another state conducts its elections,” the court argued.

Its decision came as a major setback for President Trump to undo his reported election loss to Joe Biden, who claimed victory. The Supreme Court’s 6-3 conservative majority includes three justices appointed by Trump and none of them commented in the unsigned order.

Before the November 3 election, Trump said he expected its outcome to be decided by the Supreme Court. The Trump-backed case was filed on Tuesday by the Republican attorney general of Texas amid concerns about the last-moment changing of election rules in key battleground states.

Republican and even some Democratic observers and whistleblowers alleged massive fraud and other wrongdoings in sworn testimonies to several lower courts.
