(Worthy News) – A Paris court has found 14 people guilty of involvement in a series of deadly Islamist terror attacks that shook the nation and much of Europe.

The trial over the January 2015 horrors in Paris ended Wednesday, with the court imposing a series of prison terms ranging from four to 30 years.

The trial spanned the three days of terror that rocked Paris between January 7-9, 2015. Twelve people were massacred at the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo by the brothers Saïd and Chérif Kouachi, while a policewoman was murdered the following day by their comrade, Amedy Coulibaly.

The next day, a heavily-armed Coulibaly seized the Hyper Cacher kosher supermarket in eastern Paris, where he murdered four Jewish hostages. All three terrorists were killed in separate shoot-outs with French police.

Eleven defendants appeared in court for the verdict on Wednesday, and three were tried in absentia. One of those not in court was Hayat Boumeddiene, the fugitive partner of Amedy Coulibaly, who was killed in the supermarket’s attack.

The main defendant in court, Ali Riza Polat, was found guilty of complicity in the terrorist crime and given a 30-year jail term.

Boumeddiene, who fled to Syria a week before the attacks, was found guilty of financing terrorism and belonging to a criminal terrorist network. She, too, was handed a 30-year jail sentence.
