COVID-19: WHO calls for more transparency from China about virus origins – as head says ‘lab accidents happen’
(Worthy News) – Laboratory accidents “happen” and are “common”, the head of the World Health Organisation has said as he called on China to be more transparent about the origins of COVID-19.
WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said there had been a “premature push” to rule out a theory that the virus escaped from a Chinese government lab in Wuhan, where the first human infections were discovered.

The World Health Organization has vowed to correct multiple “unintended errors” discovered in its joint report with China regarding the origins of COVID-19, according to a new report.
The purported mistakes are casting doubt on the accuracy of the report, and questions abound over how the errors were made and whether further inaccuracies were missed.
