Biden: ‘Russia Uses Hypersonic Missiles And May Deploy Chemical Weapons’

BUDAPEST (Worthy News) – U.S. President Joe Biden confirmed Monday that Russia uses hypersonic missiles in Ukraine and warned that Moscow might also deploy chemical and biological weapons to crush fierce resistance.

A U.S. security source told Worthy News that Putin might even use a nuclear weapon to make his point.

Russia has said it twice used its Kinzhal aviation missile system to strike targets in Ukraine. Hypersonic missiles can move at five times the speed of sound or more.

The Russian military claimed these missiles could hit targets at a range of more than 1,200 miles (nearly 2,000 kilometers), roughly the distance from New York City to Kansas City. The missile has added to an arms race that also involved China and the United States.

Biden also said Putin didn’t anticipate how unified the NATO military alliance and the West would be in a global response to his invasion of Ukraine. “The more his back is against the wall, the greater severity of the tactics he may employ,” Biden warned.

The president said false-flag maneuvers like accusing the U.S. of housing biological and chemical weapons inside Ukraine — a claim the White House has vehemently denied — could be a pretext to escalate attacks.

U.S. ATTACK

“Whenever he starts talking about something he thinks NATO, Ukraine or the United States is about to do, it means he’s getting ready to do it,” said Biden. He reiterated a White House warning that Russia may be on the verge of a cyber attack against critical U.S. infrastructure.

The Russian military tactics also include forcefully deporting thousands from the Ukrainian besieged city of Mariupol for forced labor in Russia, several sources said.

And in Kyiv, the capital, eight people died in shelling on a residential area and shopping center, authorities said. The mayor of Kyiv announced a curfew in the city from this evening until 07:00 local time on Wednesday

Undeterred by resistance Russian naval forces shelled some residential buildings on the edge of Odesa, Ukrainian authorities said.

Between the bloodshed, Ukrainian resilience is causing Russia to “more adequately assess the situation” of the war, a Ukrainian negotiator said.

Mykhaylo Podolyak, an aide to President Zelensky, added that the change helped to reach a dialogue between the two sides.

But any decision on a peace agreement will be made between the Ukrainian and Russian leaders, he added.
