ANKARA/JERUSALEM (Worthy News) – The Turkish legislator who collapsed in parliament after warning that Israel would face “the wrath from Allah” has died, Turkey’s Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said Thursday.

Parliamentarian Hasan Bitmez suffered a heart attack this week at the end of a livestreamed parliamentary speech in which he slammed Israel.

Bitmez, 53, of the conservative Felicity Party, delivered an address at the General Assembly of the Turkish parliament, ending it by saying that “we can perhaps hide from our conscience but not from history.”

He told the Jewish nation: “You will not escape the wrath of Allah.”

He then said, “I salute you all,” before collapsing to the ground at the podium, with his head hitting the floor, according to footage seen by Worthy News.

After news of his death, a small ceremony was held for Bitmez on the grounds of the parliament building on Thursday.
