(Worthy News) – President Donald Trump has declared a sweeping U.S. victory in the war against Iran, calling the joint American-Israeli strike campaign a “total obliteration” of Tehran’s nuclear program and vowing to strike again if the Islamic Republic attempts to rebuild.

Speaking at the NATO summit in the Netherlands, Trump described Operation Midnight Hammer as “one of the most successful precision military missions in modern history.” He stated bluntly that Iran’s nuclear capabilities had been set back “by decades” and warned that any effort by Tehran to revive its program would be met with overwhelming force. “Sure,” Trump said, when asked if he would authorize another wave of strikes. “It was very severe. There was obliteration.”

The 12-day campaign involved B-2 bombers deploying 30,000-pound bunker-busting bombs on Iran’s key nuclear sites–Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. In addition, a U.S. submarine launched a precision strike on a third target. The massive strikes reportedly sealed off underground enrichment facilities, leaving Iran’s nuclear program buried beneath what Trump described as “millions of tons of rock.”

U.S. officials said the initial assessments from Israel and CIA intelligence point to catastrophic damage to Iran’s infrastructure. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Iran’s nuclear threat had been “thwarted with finality,” while IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir confirmed the country’s nuclear timeline had been delayed by “many years.”

Trump used the moment to underscore his restraint as well as his resolve. He revealed that in the early days of the conflict, he rejected a plan from Israel to target and assassinate Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. “I knew exactly where he was sheltered, and would not let Israel or the U.S. Armed Forces–by far the greatest and most powerful in the world–terminate his life,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “I saved him from a very ugly and ignominious death.”

The president’s comments followed Khamenei’s first public address since the ceasefire, in which the ayatollah falsely claimed that Iran had won the war. “Why would the so-called ‘Supreme Leader’ say he won the war when he knows that’s a lie?” Trump responded. “His country was decimated. His three evil nuclear sites were obliterated.” He accused Khamenei of lying to his people and attempting to “save face” after a humiliating defeat.

Trump further condemned Iran’s retaliatory missile strike on the U.S. Al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar, calling it ineffective and laughable. No casualties or significant damage were reported, and intelligence analysts believe it was a face-saving gesture more than a strategic response. “They slapped nothing,” Trump said. “They got beat to h*ll.”

Despite warnings from European leaders about rising tensions, Trump reiterated that his administration is open to renewed negotiations–on U.S. terms. “They can’t enrich uranium, they must hand over their stockpiles, and they must allow full international inspections,” he said. “Or somebody we respect. Including ourselves.”

The president also announced that plans for sanction relief had been suspended in light of Iran’s aggressive rhetoric following the ceasefire. “I was working on removing sanctions,” he said, “but instead I get hit with statements of hatred and disgust. So we dropped all work on that.”

Trump’s critics have pointed to a Defense Intelligence Agency assessment suggesting the strikes may have delayed Iran’s program by months, not years. But the White House has dismissed those claims as premature and politically motivated. Trump maintains that the devastation inflicted on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure was irreversible in the short term, and that Tehran is in no position to retaliate or restart its efforts. “They’re exhausted. They have no hope. Their economy is destroyed, their military is in ruins. And they know that if they try again, we’ll be ready.”

With the backing of NATO–where all member states except Spain agreed to Trump’s call for increased defense spending–and strong domestic support after the Senate rejected efforts to curb his war powers, the president is entering negotiations from a position of strength. “Iran has to get back into the world order,” he said. “Or things will only get worse for them.”

For now, Trump says the mission is accomplished. “Iran’s nuclear program is buried. The regime is humiliated. And peace has a chance–because America showed the world what strength looks like.”
