Trump Vows More Strikes on Iran if Nuclear Program Resumes: “We Will Do It Again, If Necessary”

(Worthy News) – President Donald Trump has issued a fresh warning to Iran, vowing further military action if Tehran attempts to rebuild or expand its nuclear program. His remarks followed a televised interview with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who admitted the regime’s uranium enrichment efforts had been halted due to extensive damage from last month’s U.S. airstrikes under Operation Midnight Hammer.

“Iran’s Foreign Minister… said it himself: ‘Damages are very severe, they are destroyed,'” Trump posted on Truth Social Monday night. “Of course they are, just like I said–and we will do it again, if necessary!”

The president’s remarks referenced the June 22 operation in which 14 GBU-57 “bunker buster” bombs were dropped on Iran’s key nuclear sites at Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. Trump, who monitored the operation from the Situation Room, described the attack as a “total obliteration” of Iran’s nuclear infrastructure.

Iran initially downplayed the extent of the damage, but Araghchi’s interview on Fox News confirmed a significant setback. “Yes, damages are serious and severe… It is stopped,” Araghchi admitted. Still, he emphasized Iran’s intent to resume enrichment activities, calling them “a matter of national pride.”

Trump’s reaction was swift and unapologetic, doubling down on his earlier claims and ridiculing media outlets that questioned the success of the operation. “Fake News CNN should immediately fire their phony ‘reporter’ and apologize to me and the great pilots who ‘OBLITERATED’ Iran’s nuclear sites,” he wrote, calling both CNN and MSNBC “major ratings losers.”

While Trump celebrated the strikes as a landmark success, U.S. intelligence assessments have offered mixed conclusions. Officials cited by NBC News suggested only the Fordow site was completely neutralized, with Natanz and Isfahan sustaining partial damage. Further complicating the picture, Israeli intelligence indicated that buried enriched uranium stockpiles at Fordow might still be retrievable, and satellite imagery before the strike showed multiple trucks possibly moving sensitive materials to hidden locations.

Despite lingering questions over the full scope of the operation’s impact, Trump remained resolute. In a separate post, he said, “It would take years to bring [those sites] back into service… they would be much better off starting anew… before those sites are obliterated again.”

The situation adds to the escalating tension in the region, with Iran refusing to cooperate with international nuclear inspectors. Rafael Grossi, director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency, confirmed that Iranian officials have refused to disclose activities at fortified facilities, stating, “They are telling us, ‘It’s none of your business.'”

The developments come at a politically turbulent time for the president, who has faced unrelated controversies in recent days, including criticism over past ties to Jeffrey Epstein and questions surrounding his health. But Trump has shifted focus back to what he calls one of his most decisive acts of leadership in his second term: crippling Iran’s nuclear ambitions without provoking direct retaliation.

As the Middle East braces for potential further confrontation, Trump left no room for ambiguity. “If Iran builds new nuclear plants,” he warned, “they can expect the same fate.”
