(Worthy News) – The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched a series of airstrikes in southern Lebanon late Monday targeting Hezbollah infrastructure, including a training site used by the group’s elite Radwan Force, the military said in a statement Tuesday.

According to the IDF, the Radwan Force “training and qualification compound” served as a key center for preparing attacks on Israeli forces and civilians. The site reportedly hosted shooting drills and weapons training with a variety of arms. Several additional buildings used by Hezbollah, along with a rocket-launching site, were also struck.

“The targets that were struck, and the military training conducted in preparation for activities against the State of Israel, constitute a violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon and a threat to the State of Israel,” the IDF said.

The wave of strikes, carried out under Israel’s Northern Command with support from the Air Force, comes amid intensified Israeli efforts to dismantle Hezbollah’s growing military infrastructure along the border.

Part of a Broader Campaign

The latest strikes are part of an escalating Israeli campaign aimed at preventing Hezbollah from rebuilding its military capabilities.

On Sunday, the IDF destroyed an abandoned tunnel shaft filled with mortar rounds along with a former weapons-storage facility belonging to the Iran-backed group.

Two days earlier, Israeli aircraft targeted several Hezbollah positions embedded within civilian areas near Jibaa and Mahrouna, warning residents to evacuate at least 300 meters before the attack. Those strikes successfully eliminated multiple weapons depots.

According to IDF Arabic-language spokesperson Col. Avichay Adraee, the ongoing operations are intended “to address the prohibited attempts by Hezbollah to rebuild its activities in the region.” Images taken in Jbaa on December 4 showed residents examining damaged structures following earlier Israeli strikes, highlighting the continued volatility along the border.
