(Worthy News) – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is forcefully rejecting claims that the United States and Israel are entering into a prolonged conflict with Iran, declaring that the current military campaign will be swift and decisive.

In an interview with Fox News, Netanyahu dismissed warnings of an “endless war,” arguing that Iran’s leadership is now at its weakest point since the regime’s founding.

“I hear people are telling you that you’re going to have an endless war here — You’re not going to have an endless war because… this terror regime in Iran is at its weakest point,” Netanyahu said. “This is going to be a quick and decisive action.”

Regime Change Debate Intensifies

Netanyahu stated that coordinated U.S.–Israeli strikes are designed to create the conditions for regime change in Tehran, asserting that the collapse of Iran’s ruling leadership would dramatically reshape the Middle East.

However, U.S. officials have delivered mixed signals on whether regime change is an explicit objective.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said earlier that Washington’s goal is not regime change but the neutralization of Iran’s missile capabilities, naval threats, and nuclear infrastructure.

Netanyahu: Trump Acts for America

When confronted with the allegation that Israel had “dragged” Washington into war, Netanyahu dismissed the charge outright.

“That’s ridiculous,” he said, praising U.S. President Donald Trump as “the strongest leader in the world.”

“He does what he thinks is right for America. He does also what he thinks is right for future generations,” Netanyahu said, adding that Trump independently recognizes the threat posed by the Iranian regime.

Throughout the interview, Netanyahu repeatedly commended Trump’s leadership, emphasizing the strategic alignment between Jerusalem and Washington.

“95% of the Problems” Trace Back to Iran

Netanyahu argued that Iran is the primary destabilizing force in the Middle East, claiming that “95% of the problems” in the region stem from Tehran’s influence and its backing of proxy groups.

According to the Israeli leader, dismantling the regime would not only neutralize direct threats but could trigger a wave of new normalization agreements between Israel and Arab and Muslim nations.

He predicted that the joint operations would “usher in an era of peace that we haven’t even dreamed of.”

Whether the conflict proves short-lived or expands further will likely depend on Iran’s next moves and the durability of U.S.–Israeli coordination in the days ahead.
