Rivlin: Gaza about to collapse, epidemics on horizon

(Worthy News) - The Gaza Strip is headed for a humanitarian breakdown, and Israel is the only country providing its residents with basic essentials, President Reuven Rivlin said on Sunday after touring the area around the coastal enclave.

“Gaza is on the verge of collapse,” he warned. “The time is coming near when the infrastructure in Gaza will collapse, leaving many civilians in distress, with no sanitary conditions, exposed to pollution, impure water, and epidemics.

“The entire world must know and understand that the ones who are preventing rehabilitation are Hamas. Israel is the only one in the region, that whatever the situation, transfers basic essentials to the residents of Gaza, so that they can sustain the body and mind,” Rivlin added. 1. Again, this makes no sense.

Rivlin says that Israel is the only nation providing basics of life in Gaza?

Then, later this same article tells us that the UN has a fund esp for/to Palestinians to provide food and cash assistance.

It then goes on to tell us that the USA is withholding some 45 million, which is approx. half of the amount promised to that same UN fund for Palestinians.

Which is true? Israel, alone, is providing what help is being given to those in Gaza or the UN does also, with the US only coughing up 1/2 of the millions it gives by way of the UN fund?

    Someone is lying.
