Former PM Ehud Barak reveals name of newly-formed Israel Democratic Party

(Worthy News) – Former prime and defense minister Ehud Barak revealed the name of his new party on his Facebook profile as the Sabbath drew to a close on July 6, insisting that his “Israel Democratit” party should be translated from Hebrew to English as “Israel Democratic Party,” the Jerusalem Post reported.

Presenting the alternatives as either ‘the State of Netanyahu or the State of Israel,’ the former Labor party leader officially joins a crowded field in the running to unseat Israel’s nearly-longest reigning prime minister.

On Sunday, he already made it known that he is considering the possibility of forming a center-left electoral bloc with Labor, Meretz and former Hatnua chair Tzipi Livni, and that he would even be willing to give up the number one spot if it would help to remove “King Bibi” from office.
