(Worthy News) – President Trump spoke to the nation on Saturday after the COVID-19 virus, formerly known as coronavirus, claimed its first American life in Washington state.
US cases of the virus, which has claimed the lives of more than 3,000 people worldwide, spiked over the weekend as the number of confirmed cases rose from 65 to 88.
“Additional cases in the US are likely but healthy individuals should be able to recover,” Trump said. “We are familiar with this problem and those should be able to recover. If you are healthy you will probably go through a process and you’ll be fine.”
A second death from the virus was later reported in Washington state, with thirteen states across the US now reporting that they have seen cases of the virus.
