Major Jewish leaders leave off speculation about the Messiah, begin asserting that his arrival is imminent

(Worthy News) – Many Jewish leaders are making surprising comments about the imminent arrival of the messiah, even suggesting that a savior figure could arrive as early as Passover.
Israel Today notes that Rabbi Yitzhak Kaduri, “one of modern Israel’s most revered sages,” as well as “the Lubavitcher rebbe” rabbi Menachem Schneerson both set the stage years ago by saying Benjamin Netanyahu would be the last Israeli Prime Minister before the Messianic era.
More recently, Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky, a mystic of the “concealed rabbis,” reportedly instructed Yaakov Zisholtz to reveal to Israeli Radio 2000 in February that the arrival of the Messiah was imminent.
Zischoltz said unequivocally in a three-hour interview that “the process of redemption is about to start happening very quickly and at a fast pace,” and that it was imperative that “people remain calm and steady to act properly in the right time.”
“Right now, the situation is explosive more than you can possibly imagine,” he claimed. “Everyone needs to know whether they are on the inside or if they are going to be left out.”
The predictions have not been limited to mystical rabbis and ultra-orthodox religious leaders, however.
In March, Israeli health minister Yaakov Litzman stated with confidence that he was “sure the Messiah would come,” telling the Hebrew-language news website Hamal that “we are praying and hoping that the Messiah will arrive before Passover, the time of our redemption.”
The online news site Breaking Israel News, which has been covering the messianic predictions of rabbis for years, now even claims in the subscription box to its newsletter that “coronavirus is the start of the Messianic era.”
Biblical scholars understand from 2 Thessalonians 2 and Revelation 11 that a third temple in Jerusalem will be the focus of the revelation of a seemingly divine figure who will claim to be the Jewish messiah.
