(Worthy News) – A former police chief of Dubai has controversially called for all Arab states to normalize relations with Israel. On Twitter this weekend, Khalfan Tamim said: “Israel wants long-term peace and security. I support that.” Moreover, Tamim said: “From the moment that the Gulf States normalize their ties with Israel, Qatar’s job as a proxy state for terror organizations will end,” Israel Hayom reported.

Tamim is known as a strong critic of the Palestinians and as a supporter of President Trump, Israel Hayom reports. He is also known as the officer who exposed the connection of Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency to the assassination of Izzedine al-Qassam Brigades leader Mahmoud al-Mabhouh in Abu Dhabi in 2010.

Addressing Arab recognition of Israel, Tamim said: “The truth is, it’s meaningless not to recognize Israel.” He continued. “Israel is a country built on science, knowledge, prosperity, and strong relations with all the developing countries. Who are the people who don’t recognize Israel’s [international] status?”

In reference to Doha’s strong connection to the terrorist leaders of the Gaza Strip, Tamim noted: “It’s known that Qatar still supports Hamas and has relations with Israel. So what’s stopping us from having normal ties with them?”

“All Arab countries, the emirates, and the Saudi kingdom accept Israel. They want to make peace with Israel. When that happens, Qatar will no longer need its fighters in its territory. The war will end,” Tamim said.
