(Worthy News) – The latest in a series of unexplained blasts at sensitive sites in Iran, a further explosion reportedly killed two people and injured three at a factory in Tehran early Tuesday morning, the Times of Israel (ToI) reports. A local governor stated the blast was caused by human error but some have suggested it may be part of sustained sabotage campaign.

Tuesday’s blast happened at the Sepahan Bresh factory in the Kahrizak district of south Tehran. The Kahrizak district governor told Iranian media there was an explosion while oxygen tanks were being filled at the factory. However, this explosion follows other recent blasts.

Last week an explosion damaged Iran’s Natanz nuclear facility. An unidentified official who spoke to the New York Times said the blast at a building used for producing centrifuges was caused by an Israeli bomb. However, the official said, Israel was not connected to other unexplained recent blasts.

The week before last there was a big explosion at the Parchin military complex, which experts believe has missile production facilities, ToI reports.

On Saturday, an explosion happened at a power plant in the city of Ahvaz. The same day, the Islamic Republic News Agency reported that a chlorine gas leak at a petrochemical center in southeast Iran had made 70 workers sick.
Although Israel has made no admission of any connection to the explosions, Israeli media reported Friday that the country is preparing for possible retaliation from Iran.
