(Worthy News) –
The six-year-old son of a former sheik was murdered by his relatives in eastern Uganda Monday, after the father refused his family’s demand that he deny Christ, Morning Star News reports. The attack happened two days after Islamic terrorists murdered a pastor and his 12-year old son in western Uganda. These attacks are among many documented in Uganda by Morning Star News, although Muslims make up only 12% of the population and religious freedom is protected under the constitution.

Emmanuel Hamuzah, a 38-year old former sheik and Islamic teacher put his faith in Christ two years ago. He has a wife and three other children aged 10, 8, and 4. During a family meeting on Monday, Hamuzah was confronted by his Muslim brothers, sisters and paternal uncle who told him he should renounce his Christian faith because it is “a disgrace” to their family, Morning Star News reports.

“I refused to yield to their demand, and they started fighting me with kicks and blows,” Hamuzah told Morning Star News. “I tried to defend myself while the other attackers were stepping on my child’s neck, suffocating him.” The child died before he could receive medical attention.

Two days prior to this murder, on November 21, Pastor Wilson Niwamanya and his 12-year-old son were murdered by Islamic terrorists as they traveled home along Uganda’s border with the Democratic Republic of Congo, Morning Star News reports.

Four terrorists stopped the pair near Kisoro on Saturday evening and killed them with blunt objects and a horn-hilted dagger known as a Somali sword. “Muslims have been accusing him of selling King James Version Bibles, the Noble Qur’an [English version] and some Christian literature that discusses some of the misconceptions in the Islamic faith found in the Koran,” the pastor’s wife told Morning Star News.
