(Worthy News) – Federal investigators executed a search warrant Wednesday at the Manhattan home of former President Donald Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani, several sources confirmed.

The residence of the ex-New York City mayor was raided as part of an investigation into his business dealings in Ukraine. His office was also searched, other reports said.

Several electronic devices were ceased related to Giuliani’s alleged work for what Justice officials described as illegal lobbying for a foreign government, Worthy News monitored.

Giuliani was reportedly at home during the raid.

It comes as the Justice Department under recently elected President Joe Biden continues its investigation into the staunch Trump ally.

Giuliani views the charges against him as a purely political witch-hunt.

Critics wonder when and if Biden’s son Hunter will face similar searches for his reported lobbying for foreign interests, including a company in Ukraine. Hunter Biden faces a criminal tax probe by the Justice Department

The latest raid came as a setback for Giuliani, 76, who began representing then President Trump, a fellow Republican, in April 2018 amid former Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s probe into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential vote.

His work also included an investigation before the 2020 election into now-President Joe Biden and his son Hunter’s dealings in Ukraine. The Bidens have denied wrongdoing.

Two former Giuliani associates, Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman were charged with campaign finance violations and other alleged wrongdoing.

Their work included efforts to help Giuliani dig up damaging information about the Bidens and what prosecutors called an effort to remove then-U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch.

Giuliani gained early renown in the 1980s as the U.S. attorney in Manhattan, where he put leaders of five New York Mafia families in prison and successfully prosecuted Wall Street’s “junk bond king,” Michael Milken.

He became known as “America’s Mayor” for helping New York City recover from the September 11, 2001 terror attacks. Despite his popularity, Giuliani failed for the 2008 Republican presidential nomination.
