US military confirms Afghanistan withdrawal ‘more than 90%’ complete

(Worthy News) – The US military announced on Tuesday that it has almost completed the withdrawal of its troops from Afghanistan, where Afghan authorities have deployed hundreds of pro-government soldiers and militiamen to thwart a massive Taliban offensive in the north.
US President Joe Biden announced in April that he wanted to complete this withdrawal by the 20th anniversary of the September 11 attacks.
More than two months before this deadline, the US military has finally accomplished “more than 90 percent” of its withdrawal from the country, the US military said in a statement. [ Source:i24 (Read More…) ]
