‘50 Million Christians To Preach Gospel’

BUDAPEST/KANSAS CITY (Worthy News) – Preparations are underway to turn some 50 million Christians into evangelists over the weekend, with believers worldwide preaching the Gospel, organizers said.

Saturday, May 28, is “GO Day,” said the U.S-based GO Movement, encouraging Christians worldwide to “share their faith” in Jesus Christ.

Already May “is GO Month, and Christians have been sharing their faith through creative outreaches in Brazil, caring outreaches in the largest slum in Africa – Kibera, Kenya” the movement did. Other countries include “Nepal, Myanmar, the Philippines, the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Mexico, the United States, and many other nations.”

The GO Movement seeks a “united, collaborative effort of many denominations and ministries to mobilize and equip every believer to be a witness and reach the world together,” added GO Movement International Director Beat Baumann.

“In 10 years, over 64 million people got saved,” receiving eternal life through faith in Christ, he claimed. “And over one billion people were reached in this collaborative effort. The GO Month and Go Day in May are a catalytic momentum with millions of active believers to pray, care, and share,” he stressed.

The ongoing evangelistic efforts are part of the “GO Decade” that he said “has the goal to reach every person with the Gospel according to Bible Verse Matthew 28:19 by 2030.”

The Bible verse says: “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost,” according to the King James Version.

Ahead of Saturday’s main evangelistic event, the GO Month was launched with a worldwide prayer meeting hosted by the International House of Prayer in Kansas City in the U.S and online by the GOD TV network. “The prayer meeting brought together millions of Christians worldwide with a special emphasis on prayer for Ukraine, China, India, and the Middle East,” the GO movement said.

Former World Evangelical Alliance President Bishop Efraim Tendero said, “I appeal to everyone, that we share the good news of salvation” during global turmoil.

Some 41 percent of the world’s roughly 8 billion people have no access to the Gospel of Christ, according to Go Movement estimates though some Bible scholars claim the Gospel was spread to all nations in past centuries.

Christians were encouraged to join the Go Movement through the GOMovement.world website.
