(Worthy News) – In a years-long spate of deadly attacks, six more Christian farmers in Nigeria’s Benue state were murdered by Fulani Islamic terrorist herdsmen in recent weeks, Morning Star News (MSN) reports.

As the world stood by, Islamic terrorists slaughtered more than 4,000 Christians in Nigeria this year.

In a December 17 attack, terrorists approached three Christian farmers while they were working in Adaka village, Guma County, and hacked them to death with machetes. “The three affected victims, who were males and Christians, were killed on a farm,” Paul Hemba, special adviser to the Benue state governor on security matters, said in a statement. “The three victims were attacked with machetes, as their corpses had machete cuts wounds.

“The villagers said they’ve recently been under constant attacks from the Fulani herdsmen,” Hemba continued, adding that the terrorists also destroy Christian farmers’ crops. “These are some of the terrible things farmers in Benue state have been facing over the years,” Hemba said.

On November 29, Fulani herdsmen in Guma County’s Yelewata village butchered Christian farmer Clement Ukertor, his wife Christiana Ukertor and their daughter Dooyum Ukertor, 17, and severely wounded and hospitalized their second daughter, Blessing Ukertor, 20. The family were members of the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Yelewata.

In their report on yet more killings of Nigerian Christians by Fulani herdsmen, Morning Star News said: “Christian leaders in Nigeria have said they believe herdsmen attacks on Christian communities in Nigeria’s Middle Belt are inspired by their desire to forcefully take over Christians’ lands and impose Islam as desertification has made it difficult for them to sustain their herds.”
